Own a Piece of Skate History – Tony Hawk’s 900 skateboard
Tony Hawk’s famous 900 skateboard is up for auction at Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles starting September 23, 2025. The original Birdhouse Falcon 2 board Tony Hawk used when he nailed the first ever 900 during the 1999 X Games in San Francisco.
Tony has many other pieces of skate history that he is auctioning off as well. Hawk got really involved in picking these pieces, which shows how much they mean to him emotionally. It’s rare for him to handle the whole selling process for stuff so tied to his life and work like this.
The money from the sales go to The Skatepark Project, which is Hawk’s nonprofit which build skateparks in places that need them, like underserved areas to make it inclusive. So far they’ve given out over 13 million in grants, funding nearly 700 parks that helps about 17 million people a year who use them.
