What is a Surf Skate?

Surf skate skateboards are skateboards with a special type of trucks that give you that feeling of surfing on land. The special trucks allow you to carve deeper and more aggressively as you carve heelside to toeside and vice versa. The most popular surf skate trucks are made by Carver.

If you opt not to get surf skate trucks or already have trucks, you can also get a surf skate adaptor to add between your deck and trucks to achieve the surf skate feel.

How do Surf Skate Trucks Work?

Surf skate trucks are mounted on an additional arm which gives it an additional axis of rotation.  Certain surf skate trucks have springs in them which offers a wider range of motion.  For comparison, below are photos of regular skate board trucks, surf skate trucks, and surf skate adaptor to use with your regular trucks:
