Whatever Skateboards Welcomes Jason Gallo, aka @babytooks, to the Whatever Team
Its time to reveal the latest addition to the Whatever Team: Jason Gallo! Welcome to the team! For those who haven’t seen his clips @babytooks (click and follow him!) you need to get on the Internet more because Jason has been live firing some of the most viral clips to hit the scene recently. Know for his hair raising drops, effortless park style, and comparison to the mighty Aaron Jaws Homoki We’re stoked to have snagged him and brought him on to Whatever.
The Clip Seen Round the World
You’ve caught his clips on Instagram (follow at @babytooks) getting reposted by some of the biggest accounts in the game, including our very own Whatever Skateboards Instagram, but here’s the mega viral clip that earned him his comparison to the legendary Jaws. If you haven’t seen this skate clip yet here’s your warning: this is INTENSE.
It’s not all massive drops and stomps for Jason Gallo, here’s a quickie park clip showing off how easy he makes it look. With effortless flow in the bowls and an undeniably smooth riding style you can see why we’re stoked to have @babytooks on the team.
Of course you do. Be sure to follow his account on IG @babytooks to keep up to date and definitely follow us @whateverskateboards for the best skate clips, skateboarding memes, and of course our contests and giveaways.
We’ve Got The Electric Scooter Hoverboards On Sale!
You know we love these electric scooter hoverboards so its no surprise that now Amazon has these hoverboards for sale! From our very first Smart Balancing Scooter to our official electric scooter hoverboard review we’ve been looking all over for the best makes and models. After being asked all summer if we had these “cyber boards” for sale we decided it was time to get the very best electric scooter hoverboards up on our site. There aare three generations from the basic model up to the newest third generation with wireless Bluetooth speakers. Don’t pay ridiculous prices these electric scooter hoverboards are cheap while everyone is selling them for too much. Check prices on hoverboards first and compare.
What’s the Difference Between Hoverboards?
The first generation of hoverboard is the original model based on the Smart Balancing Scooter that started the entire craze. It’s a bit more manual than the later hoverboard models and doesn’t have the same “beginner mode” and remote that the later versions have. The second generation of these electric scooters is full of new improvements including the remote and beginner mode. The latest generation of electric scooter was released just this month (these things are that new) and took it to the next level: has beginner mode, a remote, Bluetooth speakers, wider wheelbase, larger tires, and better battery. Each hoverboard comes in several colors like white, black, pink, and blue.
I’m Looking For a Holiday / Christmas / XMas Gift? Will These Electric Scooters Arrive In Time?
Yes! Some of the fastest shipping options for these hoverboards is 2 Day Shipping within the US. We’ve already seen low shipping times internationally. Hoverboards are obviously one of the best gifts for skateboarders and we’ve already had customers ordering these as a Christmas gift.
Wholesale Hoverboards, Bulk Hoverboards, and Corporate Hoverboards
These are a real eye turner at conventions and at the office. So far these hoverboards have been great for marketing and for HR recruiting. Cruise around the conference room or convention center floor or anywhere there’s a “NO SKATEBOARDING” sign.
Why Are They Called Hoverboards? They Don’t Hover They Are Electric Scooter.
Whatever Skateboards is an Official 2014 Skateboard Marathon Sponsor!
We just checked the Stoke Index and its off the charts: we’re on board as an official sponsor for this year’s skateboard marathon! The Adrenalina Skateboard Marathon is a powerhouse skateboarding and longboarding event held near our HQ here in San Diego and this year we’re happy to announce our official sponsorship! Get your stoke on this year on Nov 30th, 2014 and ride with some of the best longboarding and endurance skateboarding champs.
Don’t believe everything you read on the Internet, (except this.) We can’t confirm or deny what’s been floating around as far as what our sponsorship means for race day and the after party but we are hoping to add a few new surprises to this year’s event… mwahahaha!
This little skater may be our cutest fan to date! As huge dog lovers (you’ve probably seen our office dog Marley on Twitter), we can’t resist sharing dogs skateboarding. We do love all furry friends trying to get their shred on but so far in the great dogs vs. cats debate dogs are dominating the skating category.
O2 (Telefónica Europe) has just released their latest full-length commercial and guess who’s featured? That’s right, our Whatever Skateboards riders Alessandra Koenig & Leticia Nobreza! This was filmed in Malibu, CA on one of the gnarliest downhill rides on the entire West Coast. Sorry boys; this shoot was for professionals only. Shot over the course of several days with a trained cameraman (props), on-site support staff including fellow Whatever rider Suigo Revilla, kickass Whatever Skateboards gear, and of course proper downhill safety equipment this was the real deal. You can only get this kind of downhill skate footage by doing it up right and the end result is incredible. You can catch Alessandra & Leticia shredding at @0:11 and @0:30 and then Ale showing the camera some skateboard modeling love @0:45.
Details & Behind the Scenes
The ad campaign hashtag is #YouCanDo but it is going to be tough to do it better than our two riders. If you’ve seen them in other commercials, skate vids, and ad campaigns you know Alessandra and Leticia are professional models and skaters. No stranger to a crazy SoCal shred these girls are *the* definition of girl power. They were backed by an amazing crew and thankfully the only injury was a nice raspberry on the last day, (someone won’t be sitting down for a while!) This particular run in Malibu is not for the faint of heart. Remember, if you’re going to be doing serious downhill runs like this be careful; these are professional riders on a closed course.
Many thanks to O2 and their 2014 campaign “Start Doing (Mach Es)”, (don’t forget the hashtag, #YouCanDo). Also serious shoutouts to international creative agency VCCP and all their creative crew.
To celebrate our kickass riders and their latest projects we’re offering a 15% off until May 1 using the coupon code YOUCANDO. So get out there and design your own skateboard and support our riders!
Want to help our riders save the world? Alessandra is not just a Whatever rider and professional model she also runs her own non-profit! Help her charity Echo give children in Peru access to sanitary kits so they can have clean water and education about proper hygiene.

We’re always looking for ways to make our PB office more enjoyable, inspiring, and good spirited. We’re also always trying to embody our own mission to let people design whatever the F they want, and not just on skateboards. Especially when it comes to additions to the office, we want them to be saturated with our own inspirations and values, and NOT dry and corporate feeling- feelings that suck from past boring jobs that many of us know too well and now like to avoid like the plague.
One of the new projects we’ve started is transforming what was an ugly white wall with a great new hand painted mural. The mural depicts James Kelly doing a badass heel side slide on a downhill board. The picture is sick, and as soon as it’s done we’ll post all of the final photos and credits as soon as we get them. It’s already looking great and brings an awesome added energy to walking thru the front door every day. We’re so excited for it we couldn’t even wait until it’s done to blog about it :)
By a Skater, for Skaters
The mural is being painted by our #Whatever sponsored downhill skater and resident artist, Suigo Revilla. We told him to paint whatever the F he wanted, and this is what he chose. He has both chosen this photo (one of his favorites) and is painting the entire mural by hand.
Stay tuned for our upcoming events at our PB location to check it out in person. :)
Until then, Here’s a preview of this beautiful work in progress:
